Christian Farrell
SOO (Smooth Operator/Owner)
Hello! I'm Christian, also known as Doods. I am the proud owner and creative force behind Riverstone Polished Concrete. While my roots lie in Western Australia, my journey has brought me to the Northern Rivers region, where I have discovered a deep appreciation for its natural beauty and vibrant community, including a special love for one mermaid in particular ;)
The passion I have for my work is unmatched, driving me to continuously hone my expertise and deliver exceptional outcomes for each project I undertake (pun intended!). I have been dedicated to perfecting the craft of mechanical polished concrete for a period spanning 10-15 years, participating in extensive training and consistently seeking opportunities for improvement, allowing my skills to evolve. With a passion for transforming spaces through the art of polished concrete, I have built a reputation for delivering unparalleled craftsmanship and stunning results. I take pride in my work and strive for the excellence and precision required to achieve outstanding results. I really do love my daily grind! [cue exit music] *Smooth Operator!
Nelly Post
SAK (Swiss Army Knife)
Hi, I'm Nelly, the lucky mermaid that Doods is talking about. I've been living in the Lennox Head area for over 20 years, and I feel extremely fortunate and grateful to call it home. I love everything about this region, from its vibrant people to its stunning natural wonders. I was instantly captivated by it! Much like Dood's blue eyes, which sparkle like the ocean… wait until you see them, you’ll know what I mean!! ;)
You might be wondering what a SAK is. It's actually just a fancy term for someone who is skilled in many areas, a generalist, or all round legend if you will!. I handle communication, social media, website management, logistics, even the occasional day on the tools grinding and polishing, and of course, mermaiding. Additionally, I prioritise the importance of environmental sustainability in our industry. We strive to lead the way in environmentally responsible practices.
We wish to acknowledge and extend our heartfelt gratitude to the traditional custodians of the lands where we live, work, play. Specifically, we honour the Bundjalung and Noongar lands, along with the many other nations and countries across this magnificent Island. It is an immense privilege to call these places our home, but we humbly recognise that these lands were never ceded.
In light of this, we deeply appreciate and hold immense respect for our Indigenous community, whose vibrant culture and profound connection to the land and sea enrich our lives. We value the knowledge and wisdom they generously share with us, as it serves as a cornerstone of our understanding and commitment to environmental stewardship. As we navigate our journey, we strive to listen, learn, and amplify the voices of Indigenous peoples, championing inclusivity, respect, and a shared responsibility towards the preservation of our cherished lands.
